Emerald Timestamp is designed to accurately record the timing of events and allow users to assign descriptions to each one. The app functions as a precise running clock, offering the following features:

 <li>Very high precision:</li>
 <ul>
 <li>Utilizes atomic clocks through NTP, typically accurate to within 0.2 seconds</li>
 <li>Incorporates color coding (yellow and green) to indicate valid synchronization status</li>
 <li>Network connection required for synchronization, though events can be recorded offline with reduced accuracy</li>
 <li>Retains the previous synchronization offset upon app restart until the first sync occurs</li>
 <li>Version 2.0 and higher presents ongoing leap seconds</li>
 </ul>
 <li>Events are conveniently organized by day in a scrollable list, enabling users to record numerous events with customized descriptions. It also allows the creation of multiple buttons with predefined event descriptions for quick inputs.</li>
 <li>The app offers simple comparison of time intervals between any two events, with the flexibility to switch between various time representations including local 12-hour and 24-hour time, UTC (GMT), Julian Date (settable globally to JD(TT) or JD(UTC)), and interval from a reference time.</li>
 <li>A running clock on the interface displays the current time in the selected format.</li>
 <li>Users can utilize a hardware keyboard, like the iPad Pro's Smart Keyboard, for triggering events using designated keys.</li>

 <li>Additionally, Emerald Timestamp allows users to email event timestamps and descriptions directly from the app, providing the option to format data as TSV or CSV for spreadsheets.</li>

 (NTP time synchronization necessitates network connectivity. Please note that Emerald Timestamp, like all other iOS applications, does not have the ability to adjust the device's internal clock settings.)
